STEAMER™ — Vintage Character. Trunk-Inspired Form.

STEAMER™ brings a more substantial, travel-inspired expression to AVENELLE™.

Its rectangular trunk form takes visual cues from traditional luggage, combining deep black faux-leather bodies with contrasting silver-grey lids whose softly mottled finish creates tonal movement across the upper surfaces.

Across the front of each trunk, antiqued metal hardware introduces the design’s strongest architectural detail.

A curved metal carrying handle sits centrally against the dark body, accompanied by a central fastening fitting and additional catches positioned toward either side. Together, these elements create the layered, hardware-rich appearance associated with vintage travelling cases.

Rather than functioning simply as ornament, the visible fittings form part of STEAMER™’s trunk-style construction while simultaneously giving the set its unmistakable identity.

It is the contrast between the dark body, pale mottled lid and aged-metal detailing that makes STEAMER™ immediately recognisable within AVENELLE™.

Three Sizes. Substantial Storage.

STEAMER™ comprises three rectangular storage trunks in graduated sizes, providing considerably more enclosed capacity than the smaller decorative-box formats within the collection.

The largest measures 40 × 30 × 17 cm, followed by a medium 35 × 25 × 14 cm trunk and a smaller 30 × 20 × 11 cm trunk.

Display all three in a graduated arrangement to emphasise their coordinated proportions, group two together and position the third elsewhere, or use each size independently according to the space available.

Their larger scale makes STEAMER™ particularly suited to keeping a broader range of household belongings neatly contained, while the distinctive trunk styling allows the pieces to remain deliberately visible rather than needing to be hidden away.

Repeated handles, catches, contrasting lids and matching finishes visually connect all three sizes as one coordinated set.

Handmade, Piece by Piece

Every STEAMER™ trunk is fully handmade, with the production process carried out by hand from cutting through assembly.

An MDF structure provides the underlying form, finished externally in faux leather and internally in non-woven fabric.

Confirmed metal hinges support the lidded construction, while the extensive metal fittings across the front reinforce STEAMER™’s luggage-inspired visual language. The antiqued finish of the visible hardware complements the deep black lower sections and contrasts with the silver-grey mottled lids.

The result combines practical enclosed storage with a much stronger sense of structure and hardware than a conventional decorative box—giving STEAMER™ the presence of a miniature storage trunk.
