PORTAVEN™ — Travel Heritage. Trunk Character.

PORTAVEN™ takes AVENELLE™ into the visual language of the traditional travel trunk.

Rather than treating storage as something to disguise, the design celebrates the character of the case itself. Three substantial rectangular trunks combine textured fabric surfaces with dark contrasting edges, carrying handles and extensive metal detailing, creating a layered construction with a distinctly travel-inspired presence.

The graduated trunks are individually differentiated through complementary tones. The largest introduces a warm brown exterior, while the medium and smaller trunks move through lighter beige and cream tones. Fine linear variation across the fabric gives each surface texture and depth while allowing the three pieces to remain part of one coordinated composition.

Dark brown faux-leather edging and corner detailing frames the trunks and emphasises their structure. The same darker material is used across the carrying handles, where visible stitching and metal attachments reinforce the travel-case character.

Antique-effect metal fittings complete the composition. Rectangular front details sit to either side of each handle, while rounded mounting plates, visible studs and further metal accents introduce the layered hardware language associated with classic trunk construction.

It is this combination—graduated scale, complementary fabric tones, dark faux-leather framing, carrying handles and characterful metal detailing—that gives PORTAVEN™ its identity.

Three Trunks. One Coordinated Set.

PORTAVEN™ comprises three decorative storage trunks in graduated sizes, creating a more substantial storage proposition within the AVENELLE™ Collection.

The 40 × 30 × 15 cm large trunk provides the most generous format, complemented by medium and smaller trunks measuring 35 × 25 × 12 cm and 30 × 20 × 9 cm.

Stack all three to create a strong tiered display, arrange them individually around the home, or group selected sizes together. Their different proportions allow belongings of varying sizes to be kept separately while maintaining a coherent decorative presentation.

Each trunk also incorporates a carrying handle, allowing it to be lifted and repositioned when required.

Whether placed within a bedroom, dressing area, living space, home office or on open shelving, PORTAVEN™ is intended to function not simply as concealed storage, but as a visible decorative feature in its own right.

Handmade, Piece by Piece

Every PORTAVEN™ trunk is fully handmade, with the production process carried out by hand from cutting through assembly.

An MDF structure provides the underlying form, with fabric used across the principal exterior surfaces and faux leather confirmed for the edges, corners and handles. Each trunk is finished internally in non-woven fabric.

Metal hinges support the lidded construction, while the extensive visible metal detailing complements the faux-leather framing and handles to establish PORTAVEN™’s distinctive trunk-style character.

The result is a more constructed expression of AVENELLE™—one in which material contrast, scale and visible detailing work together to evoke the enduring visual language of travel trunks.
