MODERA™ — Quiet Form. Tonal Contrast.

MODERA™ expresses one of the most restrained sides of AVENELLE™, allowing proportion, colour and material to define the design without relying on applied ornament.

Each rectangular box is divided into two contrasting tones. A soft ivory/cream lid sits above a deep charcoal-grey base, creating a strong but uncomplicated horizontal composition. Subtle tonal variation across the faux-leather surfaces adds depth while allowing the overall appearance to remain calm and uncluttered.

There is no prominent decorative motif competing for attention. Instead, the meeting of light and dark becomes MODERA™’s defining feature, emphasising the clean proportions of the boxes and the simplicity of their form.

It is this balance—soft neutral colour, deep contrast and deliberately minimal detailing—that gives MODERA™ its identity.

MODERA™ comprises two rectangular storage boxes in graduated sizes, giving you flexible enclosed storage while maintaining a coordinated decorative look.

Stack the smaller box above the larger to emphasise the repeated two-tone composition, display them side by side, or position each independently around the home.

Their relatively low-profile proportions make the pair particularly easy to incorporate into shelving, dressing areas, bedroom furniture, living spaces or home offices, while the neutral palette allows them to sit comfortably alongside a wide variety of interiors.

Every MODERA™ box is fully handmade, with the production process carried out by hand from cutting through assembly.

An MDF structure provides the underlying form, finished externally in faux leather and internally in non-woven fabric. Rather than relying on an additional decorative component, MODERA™ derives its character from the relationship between its clean rectangular construction and contrasting exterior tones.

The result is decorative storage reduced to its essential elements—structured form, subtle surface texture and a carefully balanced two-tone palette.
