ROSA NOIR™ — Dark Ground. Romantic Bloom.

ROSA NOIR™ brings a more dramatic, romantic expression to AVENELLE™’s book-form storage.

Against the deep black ground, a large pink rose becomes the natural focal point of the cover. Soft blush, pink and pale tones define the layered petals, standing in deliberate contrast to the surrounding darkness.

Butterflies introduce lighter points of detail around the composition, while shadowed botanical imagery recedes into the dark background rather than competing with the central bloom. Prominent white ROSE lettering adds another graphic layer, reinforcing the visual character of a designed decorative volume.

The effect is bold without becoming crowded: one expressive bloom, a dark ground and carefully placed lighter elements brought together in a composition with a distinctly romantic character.

Measuring 30 × 21 × 6 cm, it has the broad cover and relatively slim proportions of a substantial decorative volume. Along the exposed edge, closely spaced light detailing creates the visual impression of layered pages, strengthening the book-like appearance when the piece is closed.

Behind that decorative exterior is practical concealed storage for smaller belongings.

Displayed flat on a console, dressing table, shelf or coffee table, ROSA NOIR™ can sit amongst books and decorative objects without reading as a conventional storage box. Every ROSA NOIR™ storage book is fully handmade, with the production process carried out by hand from cutting through assembly.

An MDF structure provides the underlying form, while the exterior is finished in faux leather and the interior in non-woven fabric.

Its character comes from the way those functional materials are interpreted through design—the structured book form, dark illustrated covering and light page-effect edge combining to create an object whose storage purpose is integrated into its appearance.

The result is an unusually expressive piece of decorative storage: practical in purpose, yet designed with the presence of an object intended to remain on display.
